THURSDAY 14 MARCH 2024
"A GREATER WISDOM" with Cristina Mittermeier and Giulia Zonca

A talented mind and voice in environmental photography and one of the world's most influential photographers, Cristina Mittermeier began her career as a marine biologist but soon discovered that she could better defend the oceans and the planet through the lens of her camera. Cristina is co-founder of SeaLegacy, a non-profit expedition institution that promotes the health of the oceans.
Telling unique personal stories, accompanied by enthralling images and a solid scientific background, Cristina will open our hearts and minds in a way that will ensure a radical change in our relationship with the planet and all its creatures.
Sharing insights and experiences from her time spent working with indigenous communities around the world which maintain a connection with nature and deeply understand the delicate balance of our planetary ecosystem, she invites us to explore the idea of enoughness as a way of thinking about our place in the global ecosystem.

WEDNESDAY 10 APRIL 2024
"CIRCULAR HEALTH, A WAY OF THINKING” Ilaria Capua talks to Marco Cattaneo

The recent pandemic showed us that we have to rethink our relationship with nature. Just as we depend on it for resources which we must exploit consciously, so our health too is linked to environmental protection and the health of other animals and plants.

WEDNESDAY 8 MAY 2024
"ANTARCTICA UNLIMITED: A BIKE IN THE MOST EXTREME PLACE ON THE PLANET" Omar Di Felice talks to Marco Cattaneo

Omar Di Felice, an ultra-cyclist famous for his cycling exploits among the glaciers, divides his time between sport and scientific communication.
This meeting will be an opportunity to hear the story of his latest crossing of the great white continent: over 700km on a fat bike in symbiosis with nature.
Event in collaboration with National Geographic

WEDNESDAY 15 MAY 2024
"TERRA FELIX" with Duccio Canestrini

A conference-show by anthropologist Duccio Canestrini which combines pop culture with unexpected considerations: are we still in time to develop a sense of boundaries?  Can we still dream of a future of balanced relationships between Homo sapiens and other species, in order to avert the risk of remaining “worldless”? In this context, cultural anthropology plays its part, rummaging through the cosmogonies of Amazonian Indians, scenes straight out of science fiction and new youth movements.

WEDNESDAY 29 MAY 2024
"CLIMATE CHANGE, BETWEEN EXTREME EVENTS AND HABITATS A RISK", Serena Giacomin and Elisa Palazzi talk to Marco Cattaneo

Climate change is no longer just a projection of the future but a reality that is already transforming our Planet and directly or indirectly affecting our lives.  The event invites us to explore the intricate interactions between climate change, extreme weather events and the fragility of natural habitats. The conversation will address the way these phenomena affect global ecosystems and the species that inhabit them, including human beings.
