A series of concerts dedicated to the exhibition "Angelica e Élisabeth. L'età delle donne pittrici".

Project organised by the Alessandro Scarlatti Association

Five works on display as part of the exhibition will serve as the starting point for five concerts, performed by an outstanding group of musicians, most of whom are young or very young. The connection between seeing and listening will be “narrated” in brief introductions delivered by art historians.

The project is part of the long-standing collaboration between the Scarlatti Association and Gallerie d’Italia, which has now been ongoing for many years.

Concerts organised by the Pietà de’ Turchini Centre for Early Music, dedicated to the exhibition.
The cosmopolitan Europe traversed by Angelica Kauffmann and Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun was also criss-crossed by musicians, scores, and instruments: the courts and salons that commissioned their portraits were likewise places where music was created and enjoyed.
The two concerts, organised by the Pietà de’ Turchini Foundation, recreate that musical atmosphere, highlighting the distinctive sensibilities of each of the two artists.
